THE PREEMINENT MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER TREATMENT PROGRAMS FOR ADOLESCENTS AND YOUNG ADULTS

RYAN SHEVLIN – An Unsung Hero

The Unsung Hero for this month is Ryan Shevlin, Office Manager and member of the Admissions Department. Ryan has worked for Turnbridge since December 2011, starting as Vice President Al Samaras’ assistant. Over time, Ryan has taken on more responsibilities within the company, acting as Office Manager and intake specialist. Ryan assists new residents through the process of enrolling in the program and is often the first person they meet upon arrival. In addition to these duties, he handles IT problems when they occur and is responsible for maintaining Turnbridge’s social media presence as well. According to Ryan, the most difficult part of his job is “shuffling many tasks at the same time.” As Office Manager, he has his “hands in everything” and multitasking is a daily chore. The most rewarding part of working at Turnbridge is “seeing the guys’ perception turn around,” Ryan said. “Some are not happy about being here at first. It’s a pleasure to see their attitudes change and witness them slowly embrace recovery.”
