The Turnbridge Adolescent Residential Program welcomes young people between the ages of 14 and 17 years of age who are experiencing mental health and substance use disorders. The involvement and treatment of family members is an integral part of the Turnbridge Residential Program.
Turnbridge diagnoses and treats a range of mental health disorders, including depression, anxiety, psychosis, mild schizophrenia, borderline personality, substance use disorders, eating disorders, and more. Some conditions, or those with high levels of acuity, may require specialized psychiatric care before becoming eligible for treatment at Turnbridge. The Turnbridge admissions staff and assessment professionals can help decide whether Turnbridge or another care provider is appropriate.
Adolescents have different physiological and psychological needs than adults. The Turnbridge Adolescent Residential Program is tailored to the needs of young patients. Caregivers, therapies, curriculum, and activities are specialized to give teens the safest, most comfortable, and most effective experience and outcomes. The Turnbridge Adolescent residential treatment campus is a private, safe, and stimulating environment in which to receive care, develop skills, and experience belonging.
Mental health disorders can affect the entire family. Teens benefit when parents and family members become part of the healing process and learn to support their mental health. Family therapy is a core part of this program. Family members receive education about their loved one’s diagnosis and how to provide appropriate support. Family therapy works to restore strong family relationships and to help parents learn to establish appropriate boundaries and recognize signs that additional care is needed.
