THE PREEMINENT MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER TREATMENT PROGRAMS FOR ADOLESCENTS AND YOUNG ADULTS

DAVE FREEDMAN – An Unsung Hero

Dave F. is Turnbridge’s Unsung Hero for the month of August. He serves as Support Staff Manager, as well as Activities Coordinator. Dave started working for Turnbridge as House Manager, and eventually became a member of the Support Staff. Over time, he began taking on the additional responsibility of planning recreational events, and he was promoted to Support Staff Manager earlier this year. According to Dave, his responsibilities often require him to manage multiple tasks, including resident intake. “The most difficult part of my job is seeing a resident leave before he gives himself a chance to turn things around, seeing him give up on himself. The most rewarding part is seeing the transformation of the guys. I know how the program works. That’s one of the main reasons why I wanted to work here, because of what it’s done for me personally.” “I love my job, and I love the people that I work with. I really enjoy working with the residents and the other staff. Everyone that works at Turnbridge is great. I genuinely love coming to work every day.”
